Sapphire Room, Riverside Hotel

History

The Sapphire Room is the listening room inside The Riverside Hotel at 2900 W. Chinden Boulevard. The hotel’s music page calls it a roughly 150-seat room with table service, a full bar and dinner menu, and all-ages shows; Venue Maps lists capacity up to about 170. Hotelier Lynda Johnson is quoted on the Americana Music Series site saying the room was built so listeners could hear every note. It sits with BAR365 and the seasonal Sandbar among the hotel’s three live-music spaces and runs a regular local and touring calendar.
