History
Troxy opened as a cinema in 1933, designed by George Coles, and closed in 1960. From 1963 to 1977 the Royal Opera House ran the London Opera Centre training school there, and Mecca Bingo held sessions in the building from the 1980s until 2005. It became a live events space in 2006. The Grade II listed hall holds 3,100, and restoration work is raising that to 3,600.
