History

Conway Hall opened on 23 September 1929 as the home of what is now the Conway Hall Ethical Society, and takes its name from Moncure D. Conway, the American who led the Society in the late 19th century. Frederick Mansford designed the Art Deco building in silver-grey brick with red detailing, and it is Grade II listed. The main auditorium seats 300, with room for another 180 in the gallery.
