The Meridian Arts Centre opened in 1993 to a design by Eberhard Zeidler. Wikidata lists the City of Toronto as owner and TO Live as operator. Renovations from 2014 to 2016 split its Main Stage into two smaller theatres, and a sponsorship deal with Meridian Credit Union gave the centre its current name in September 2019.
