History

The Lee's Palace building came out of Allen Theatres' push into Toronto between 1917 and 1920. Famous Players bought the Allen chain in 1923 and by 1928 had paid for major renovations, including an orchestra pit. Lee's Palace opened as a music club on September 5, 1985, and its concert room holds roughly 600 people, with the Dance Cave club upstairs.
