Grace Church was established on September 17, 1874, as the 15th Anglican church in Toronto. In 1911 the parish bought land at Russell Hill Road and Lonsdale Road, and work on the present building, designed by Eden Smith, began in May 1912. Opening services were held on December 21, 1913, and a two-storey education wing was added on the west side in 1955.
