Bayview Glen Church was founded in 1941 by the evangelist Charles Templeton and became affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance in 1950. In 1973 the congregation sold its Avenue Road church and bought land at Bayview Avenue and Steeles Avenue in Thornhill, moving into its present building in March 1978.
