The Barfly
formerly The Camden Assembly

49 Chalk Farm Road, Chalk Farm, London NW1 8AN
History
The Barfly name began in 1996 at The Falcon pub and moved in 2000 to The Monarch on Chalk Farm Road, a pub that had hosted gigs since the 1980s. The Columbo Group bought it from MAMA & Company in 2016, when it was renamed Camden Assembly, and Yungblud, Olivia Dean and The 1975 all played the 200-capacity room in that era. Propaganda Independent Venues took over in 2025 and announced plans to bring back the Barfly name.
