Cottiers occupies a Neo-Gothic church on Hyndland Street designed by William Leiper; its foundation stone was laid on 4 August 1865 and it opened on 11 November 1866. The congregation joined the Church of Scotland in 1929, when the building was renamed Dowanhill Parish Church, and it served as a parish church until the Dowanhill and East Partick congregations united in 1984. Restoration then took place in phases from the 1980s to 2012.
