History

Donald MacLeod founded the Cathouse, which launched in 1990 in the now-demolished Hollywood Studios building on Brown Street. Its Union Street home was leased until 2005, when Hold Fast Entertainment bought it, refurbished it and relaunched it at the end of October that year. Oasis, Pearl Jam and Fall Out Boy all played there in their early years.
