The St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, home of the Jane Mallett Theatre, opened on February 2, 1970, after eight years of planning and construction, to a design by Gordon Adamson. The room then called the Town Hall was renamed the Jane Mallett Theatre in November 1984 in memory of the Canadian actress. Wikidata names the City of Toronto as the theatre's owner and TO Live as its operator.
