The event
More than 7,000 hand-carved, illuminated jack-o'-lanterns line a half-mile path at 18th-century Van Cortlandt Manor, set to synchronized lighting and an original soundtrack. Displays include movie monsters, storybook characters, life-size dinosaurs, a Pumpkin Planetarium and a working carousel. Advance timed tickets are required, since none are sold on site. Proceeds support the nonprofit Historic Hudson Valley.
