History
The Brighton Centre on Kings Road was designed by Russell Diplock & Associates and opened by James Callaghan on 19 September 1977. Brighton and Hove City Council owns the building; Wikidata gives its capacity as 4,500, and it can take up to 5,000 conference delegates. The Jacksons played there in February 1979, and Queen played on 10 and 11 December that year during their Crazy Tour. The centre had a £1 million renovation in 2012.
