Blind Bob’s opened in 2008 at 430 E. Fifth St. in Dayton’s Oregon District, in a historic building that had already been a music room. An early menu told the family origin: Bob wanted a bar, Nate wanted to run a business, and Lisa wanted both of them out of her hair. Nate Mendenhall has run it as a tavern booking independent local and touring bands, with live music most nights from Thursday through Sunday, plus a Tuesday open mic and Wednesday trivia. The kitchen is known for pub food, including beer-battered pineapple rings.
