The District, booked by Pepper Entertainment, opened on the Empire Mall campus along 49th Street with a VIP night on Nov. 7, 2013 (Indigenous) and a public grand opening the next night with Uncle Kracker. B102.7 reported a wood-fired grill and a concert hall of about 1,500, built for shows, weddings, and meetings. Venue manager Shawn Larson told the SDSU Collegian in 2024 that the room now does about 40 concerts, 40 weddings, and 40 corporate events a year, and that Zach Bryan and Whiskey Myers played there before larger rooms. The office line is (605) 271-5600.
