EartH, short for Evolutionary Arts Hackney, occupies an Art Deco cinema on Stoke Newington Road that opened in 1936 as The Savoy, later became an ABC, and stopped showing films in 1984. After a £3 million redevelopment led by Auro Foxcroft and others, it reopened as an arts centre in September 2018. The ground floor holds 1,200 people, and upstairs there is a 750-capacity tiered theatre.
