Glasgow · 121 Eglinton Street, Glasgow G5 9NT, UK
From 1825 the Eglinton Street site was home to the Eglinton St United Secession Church, which became the New Bedford Picture House in 1921. The cinema closed on 18 July 1973 and reopened months later as a bingo hall, which was boarded up in 1993. After ten years of disuse it opened as a music venue on 26 March 2003 with Deacon Blue, Bryan Ferry and Sugababes, and it took the O2 name in November 2008 under a sponsorship deal with Live Nation. Frankie Boyle holds the record for the most shows there, with 14.
