Queen Margaret Union
Glasgow · 22 University Gardens, Glasgow, G12 8QH, United Kingdom
The Queen Margaret Union was founded in 1890 to give women students at Queen Margaret College a place to meet, and it was first housed in the college basement on Queen Margaret Drive. After moves to Ann Street in 1912 and the John McIntyre Building in 1932, it settled in March 1968 in a purpose-built home at 22 University Gardens. Queen played its roughly 900-capacity venue on 15 March 1974, followed by Red Hot Chili Peppers on 3 February 1990 and Nirvana on 30 November 1991.
