National Mall · 15th St SW and Independence Ave SW, Washington, DC

The National Sylvan Theater is the outdoor stage southeast of the Washington Monument, at the northwest corner of 15th Street and Independence Avenue. It opened April 4, 1917: a wooden stage in a graded grove that can hold a crowd back toward the monument. The National Park Service lists free music and history here on Saturdays from October 17 through November 28, 2026. No ticket.
