Healer is an all-ages music and art space on East Raymond Street in Indianapolis, built inside the shell of an empty office park that once housed Health Net. When it opened in 2016 it went by 'Health Net' as a tongue-in-cheek nod to the old tenant. The founders, including Colin Oakley, kept the 'heal' part when they renamed it. Office ceiling tiles and cubicles are still there. Every surface is covered in donated odds and ends, from old sound gear to a fake dragon and whale art, which Oakley compares to a Toy Story world where forgotten objects get a second life. It's built for community and catharsis.
