Castle Island Brewing opened in 2015 and now runs taprooms in Norwood and South Boston. The brewery keeps its pitch simple: make beer it's proud of, don't take itself too seriously and be good to people. The Norwood taproom pours fresh Castle Island beer alongside Bardo's bar pizza, has a packed events calendar and lets leashed dogs in. The South Boston taproom pours rotating beers and hard seltzers. Both can be booked for private events from about 10 guests up to 400, which makes them easy spots for live sets and community nights.
