Poison Girl is the Montrose cocktail lounge on Westheimer in Houston, named after a song by Houston-born singer Chris Whitley. It marked 20 years in 2024. The owners built the bar themselves on credit cards, kept it open on a generator for two weeks after Hurricane Ike, and opened again after Harvey. The room is known for pinball, velvet paintings, a patio Kool-Aid Man sculpture by artist Zach Moser, and one of the region's largest American whiskey collections.
