Anodyne opened in 1995 as an upstairs pool hall and bar at 409 Central Ave. NW in downtown Albuquerque. The room is built around about ten red-felt pool tables, plus pinball and a jukebox, and it pours a long beer list and straightforward cocktails to a mix of serious players and downtown regulars. Staff have said many employees and customers have been coming since the beginning.
