The place
Haunted Housel is the Housel family’s yard on County Road 4 in Canandaigua, about 27 miles southeast of Rochester. They build the scenes on their own property: paths, a mini corn maze, and a lot of skeletons. It is not a rented warehouse.
The event
In October it is open daily. Weekdays 3 to 9:30pm, weekends noon to 9:30pm, with scare actors Friday through Sunday after dark. Free under 5, $5 for ages 6 to 12, $10 from 13. Anyone under 18 needs an adult. Park on the property, not on the road.
