The place
Knott’s began as Walter Knott’s berry stand in Buena Park in 1920. The Ghost Town he built around the kitchen became the park. It is a drive from Los Angeles, still on Beach Boulevard, still the family’s old farm ground.
The event
Knott’s Scary Farm started in 1973, a Halloween night on the park grounds, and it is still cited as the first theme-park haunt. Mazes go up on the lot. The park posts which nights and what the ticket costs. Not a music room.
