History
Will Walker opened Will’s Pub in 1995 beside the Loch Haven Motor Inn, in a gutted building his father, Doug Hobbs, helped him turn into the bar Walker had wanted since his teens. It began as a tavern and shifted toward live music as smaller punk clubs closed and their regulars drank there. The original room closed in 2006, and the current location at 1042 N. Mills Ave. opened in November 2008. It remains a small-room home for punk, indie, and local bands; in 2012 Walker added the adjoining cocktail bar Lil Indies, named for his daughter Indiana.
