Bear Tooth Theatrepub

History

Bear Tooth Theatrepub opened in June 2000 at 1230 W. 27th Avenue in Anchorage’s Spenard neighborhood, in the renovated former Denali Theatre. It was started by the operators of Moose’s Tooth Pub & Pizzeria (opened June 1996), including Rod Hancock and his brother Warren. The room serves pizza, Broken Tooth beer, and movies at tables (about 275 seats plus a balcony), and also books live music. Bear Tooth Grill opened in the same building in August 2001.
