The Secret Group

History

Four Houston comics opened The Secret Group at 2101 Polk Street in East Downtown, not on Washington Avenue. The Houston Press named the principals as Andrew Youngblood, Stephen Brandau, Jack Watkins Jr., and a partner identified only as Becker. The free grand opening was June 25, 2016, with Andrew W.K., Guilla, and We Were Wolves. The club's own FAQ describes a bar and showroom entered at Polk and St. Emanuel, plus a smaller room called The Box, booking both comedy and music.
