Smith's Olde Bar

History

Smith’s Olde Bar is an Atlanta music club and restaurant founded by Dan Nolen and Mike Reeves, who opened it in 1994 at 1578 Piedmont Road in a building from 1927. The club’s own history says the room has hosted artists including David Bowie, John Mayer, Kings of Leon, Janelle Monáe, and Chris Stapleton. Creative Loafing reported in 2023 that the upstairs music room was renamed the Mike Reeves Music Room after Reeves, the cofounder who died that April. Reeves and Nolen had already booked rooms such as The Point and the Cotton Club before they settled into Smith’s.
