Blue Bonnet Palace

History

Blue Bonnet Palace began in 1978, when the John brothers started a country dance hall inspired by their father’s love of dancing and country music. The family later opened a rebuilt Blue Bonnet Palace at 17630 Lookout Road in Selma, north of San Antonio, as the current dance hall. The 21-and-over room is open for live music and dancing on Friday and Saturday nights from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., with a large dance floor, and it also takes private events and catering during the week.
