Rose Hall

History

Rose Hall, 19 Church Street, Cortland, occupies the former First Baptist Church, built in the 1870s and rebuilt in the 1890s after a fire. When the congregation left in 2003, McNeil Development bought the building to keep the architecture and the pipe organ. The Dan and Rose McNeil Foundation, set up in 2019, runs it as a music hall: a second-floor concert room of about 500 and a ground-floor lounge of about 100 to 130. Bills have included Joe Louis Walker, The Rods, and the James Barker Band. (rosehallcortland.com/about.)
