Green Bay, WI

History

The Resch Center is a Brown County-owned arena at the Brown County Veterans Memorial Complex in Green Bay, across from Lambeau Field on a site that held the Packers Hall of Fame from 1976 to 2001. Ground broke June 30, 2000; the building, designed by Odell Associates with Design Strategies and built by Miron Construction, opened August 24, 2002, at a cost of about $45 million. It is named for KI furniture executive Dick Resch, who holds the naming rights, and is operated by PMI Entertainment Group. Capacity is about 10,200 for an arena bowl, roughly 7,500 for end-stage concerts, and about 9,700 for basketball. Tenants include UW-Green Bay men's basketball, the Green Bay Gamblers hockey team, and the Green Bay Blizzard indoor football team, and it hosts concerts, family shows, and WIAA tournaments.
