History
Brewster Street Icehouse's site says the downtown room opened Friday, June 11, 2006, in a 1932 building at 1724 N. Tancahua that Union Pacific and later Yellow Freight had used, beside Whataburger Field. Visit Corpus Christi credits William Durrill with opening it as a family-friendly game-day and concert spot. The company later added a Southside location in 2019 and a Padre Island room.
