Firefly Distillery

4201 Spruill Avenue, North Charleston, SC, 29405

History

Firefly Distillery was founded in Charleston in 2005 by Jim Irvin and Scott Newitt, with their wives Ann and Trisha; the tasting room and concert grounds are at 4201 Spruill Avenue, North Charleston, near Park Circle. The first product, Firefly Muscadine Vodka, debuted in 2006, and the Sweet Tea Vodka brand is licensed to Sazerac. The site is also a concert venue—Wikipedia notes a 2020 Safe Sounds series and a 2023 lineup that included Gov’t Mule, Gregory Alan Isakov, Willie Nelson, and Noah Kahan (Wikipedia; fireflydistillery.com/about).
