Railhouse

History

The Railhouse occupies the old Railroad BBQ building at 107 E. Center Street in Kyle. A new group began refitting that hall in 2014–15 as Down South Railhouse, a bar, dance hall, and live-music room. It later ran as Railhouse BBQ, closed during the pandemic, and reopened on September 23, 2021, under Austin bar owners Trevor Fletcher and Flip Lockhoof. The room books country, rock, metal, Tejano, and other local and touring shows, along with DJs and weekly events.
