History
Vinyl Music Hall is the music room on the ground floor of the 1897 Masonic Temple at 2 S. Palafox Place, Pensacola. Pensapedia records that in 2009 the Levin Group, which owned the Masonic building, partnered with the owners of nearby Hopjacks to put a club there, then described as holding about 400 people, between smaller rooms such as Sluggo’s and the Civic Center. SMP Architecture, writing about the adjoining B-side bar, says Vinyl opened in 2010 in the former lodge. The hall’s own FAQ lists a sellable capacity of 850. Visit Pensacola describes a ballroom with a main dance floor and a wrap-around balcony. (pensapedia.com, Vinyl Music Hall; smp-arch.com, The B-side; vinylmusichall.com/faq; visitpensacola.com)
