History
Downtown Greenville, SC performing-arts complex at 300 S. Main Street, on the Reedy River where factories once stood. The Greenville Journal reports a Nov. 30, 1990 public opening after a Peace family gift of $10 million; Wikipedia lists the Peace Concert Hall at about 2,115 seats, the Gunter Theatre at about 439, and the 2012 TD Stage amphitheater at about 1,450. Resident companies have included the Greenville Symphony Orchestra.
