Backstage at the Meyer

History

Backstage at the Meyer is the contemporary event and small-performance room attached to the Meyer Theatre at the corner of Washington and Walnut (101 S. Washington St.), Green Bay. A $4.5 million addition was announced on the theatre's 84th anniversary in 2014; the space, opened after a community fundraising drive (Yelp lists it as established in 2015), reuses brick from the historic building and has a small stage, colored lighting, and its own catering kitchen. The Meyer site says it holds up to about 200 guests; Downtown Green Bay lists about 150 seated or 300 standing.
