History
Community Center for the Performing Arts at 291 W. 8th Avenue. The Woodmen of the World built the current hall in 1932 with a floating maple dance floor. In 1975 a volunteer group raised the down payment with a five-day WOWATHON, paid off the building in 1983, and saw it listed on the National Register in 1996. Early bills included Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Fugazi, and many others.
