History
The Warner Theatre at 811 State Street in Erie, Pennsylvania, is a Rapp and Rapp movie palace in Art Deco and French Renaissance style. Warner Bros. commissioned it in 1929; it opened April 10, 1931, with the film The Millionaire, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It seats 2,250 and is home to the Erie Philharmonic and the Lake Erie Ballet. Erie County owns it through the Convention Center Authority. A renovation of nearly $27 million brought it back to the public in late January 2022.
