History
Sherlock’s was a downtown Erie music bar at 508 State Street, remodeled from the Jack Parris Supper Club. Thomas “Tippy” Dworzanski and Beverly Walker opened it in 1977 (the Erie Times-News first mentioned it December 17, 1978). For about 40 years it booked local and touring bands, shifting from country, jazz, and blues toward rock, with an upstairs dressing room and a balcony over State Street, connected inside to Park Place. It closed in August 2018 and was sold that September to the Erie Downtown Development Corporation.
