History
Pizza Lucé was founded in Minneapolis in 1993 by Joe Baier. The Duluth Budgeteer reported on August 23, 2002 that Scott Nelson would open a Duluth Pizza Luce that month in the Technology Village, at the street-level corner of Lake Avenue and Superior Street. Songkick and the Duluth Homegrown Music Festival list the room at 11 E. Superior Street. Homegrown says the dining floor is turned into a concert hall, with paid admission Friday and Saturday and a free Sunday New Band Showcase. Wikipedia notes the company was named Minnesota Restaurant of the Year in 2011 and has long hired touring musicians.
