History
The Raccoon Motel is a standing-room, general-admission music club in downtown Davenport. Quad-City booker Sean Moeller and partners first opened Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel at 304 E. Third St., in a former gas station and Musicians Union Local 67 hall that held about 60 people; the first show, on March 30, 2017, was Dent May, Christian Lee Hutson, and Boom Forest. That room closed in 2019. The current 200-capacity Raccoon Motel is at 315 E. Second St. and also rents rooms above the club. The venue's site says it has hosted acts including Colter Wall, Tyler Childers, Sierra Ferrell, Orville Peck, Dawes, Black Flag, and the Melvins.
