History
Sound opened in 2012 on North Las Palmas Avenue in Hollywood as a dance club with projection-mapped LED walls and seating behind the DJ booth. Kobi Danan, who had run the Music Box (now the Fonda Theatre) from 2010 to 2012, was one of three partners who opened it. His firm Vigil later bought out the other partners, including Rob Vinokur. The room books DJ nights built around house, techno, and bass.
