History

Fiddler's Hearth, 127 N. Main St., is a Celtic public house Carol and Terry Meehan opened on Oct. 1, 2002 in a downtown building that dates to the 1800s. They modeled it on rural pubs in Ireland and Scotland and built the menu and music around the seven Celtic nations; pews came from St. Patrick’s Church in South Bend. Visit South Bend notes live music is part of the room, and the pub marked 20 years in 2022.
