Dick's Den

2417 N High St, Columbus, OH · about 120

History

Dick's Den was established in 1964 by Dick Warren on North High Street in Columbus's Old North, just north of Ohio State. The neon sign out front reads Why Not? Jazz took hold after a stage went in. Saxophonist Joe Diamond set up in the window before there was a stage, and jazz Sundays have been part of the room since the late 1970s. It stayed cash-only until recent years.
