Columbus
Bio
Times New Viking is a lo-fi indie rock band from Columbus, Ohio, formed in 2005 by art-school friends Jared Phillips on guitar, Adam Elliott on drums, and Beth Murphy on keyboards, with Murphy and Elliott sharing vocals. Tied to the 2000s shitgaze scene, they recorded to cassette and released Dig Yourself (2005), Rip It Off (2008) on Matador, and Dancer Equired! (2011) on Merge. Rip It Off reached No. 17 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart. After an extended hiatus they reunited for 4th and 4th Fest in Columbus in 2016.
