Bio

Tally Hall is a rock band formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in December 2002 while its members were students at the University of Michigan. Rob Cantor and Joe Hawley play guitar and sing, Zubin Sedghi plays bass, Andrew Horowitz plays keyboards, and Ross Federman plays drums; on stage they wear colored neckties. Their debut album, Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum (2005), named for a suburban Detroit attraction, mixes 1960s-style vocal harmony, garage rock, and humor. The song “Good Day” won the 2004 John Lennon Scholarship. After a long quiet stretch following 2011, the band became active again in 2026.
