Bio
Kylesa is a sludge, stoner, and psychedelic rock band from Savannah, Georgia, formed in 2001 by Phillip Cope and Laura Pleasants, drawing on the earlier Savannah band Damad. Cope and Pleasants share guitar and vocal duties. The group was known for stretches with two drummers and released albums including Static Tensions (2009), Spiral Shadow (2010), Ultraviolet (2013), and Exhausting Fire (2015), much of the later work on Season of Mist. They paused in 2016 and returned in 2024 as a four-piece with one drummer: Cope, Pleasants, bassist John John Jesse, and drummer Roy Mayorga.
