Bio

The Cherry Poppin' Daddies are a swing and ska band established in Eugene, Oregon, in 1989 by singer-songwriter Steve Perry and bassist Dan Schmid. Only Perry, Schmid, and trumpeter Dana Heitman remain from the founding lineup; the current band also includes Willie Matheis, Jason Moss, Nik Barber, and Kyle Molitor. They played their first show under this name at Eugene's W.O.W. Hall on March 31, 1989. The 1997 swing compilation Zoot Suit Riot sold over two million copies in the United States, and they were photographed performing in California in 2017. Their ska album Roma! Roma! was released in January 2026.
